Yesterday afternoon we honoured the memory of a dear friend and colleague; Dr Gillian West.

Dr West devoted herself to the practice, our patients and the wider Kirkby community. We felt it important by giving back in recognition of all that she contributed, providing a moment to remember and reflect.

At the front of the grounds, we have planted a magnolia tree and a commemorative bench with a plaque beside it, offering a peaceful spot for all to make use of. Inside the practice, our clinical section of the building has been renamed “The West Wing” with a sign displayed above the corridor.

These serve as gentle reminders that, in the place and amongst the people Dr West changed the lives of each and every day, her legacy remains everlasting at Millbrook.
