This week marks Learning Disability Week (16th–22nd June 2025), an annual event led by Mencap to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and celebrate the achievements of people with a learning disability.

This year’s theme is “Do you see me?” a powerful call to action encouraging greater visibility, understanding, and inclusion for people with learning disabilities in all areas of life. It’s about recognising their talents, hearing their voices, and ensuring they are seen, valued, and respected in society.

Throughout the week, organisations, schools, communities, and individuals across the UK will be taking part in activities to support and amplify this important message. From awareness-raising events and inclusive workshops to social media campaigns and personal stories, Learning Disability Week is a chance to learn more and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive world.

We encourage everyone to get involved; whether it’s by sharing resources, attending an event, or simply taking the time to listen and learn. Together, we can make a difference.
